Accessibility Membersprofits

Last year, the new World Gym of Saratoga had an idea: to create a facility that was “truly accessible for everyone.” To do this, they leased space in a shopping mall to create the “best and most beautiful gym possible for all types of members.” Beginning with their logo colors, they carried through with hi-tech equipment, spatial layout, colors and lighting — all in concert to create a feeling of energy and movement that would inspire their current members, as well as invite mall traffic to enter and use the peripheral services of the facility. The Elemental Bath, Part 2

Water:

This is my personal favorite. I love water and I love the feeling of water flowing over my hands, even as I wash dishes! And I absolutely love being caught in the rain. Take a water bath when you need to be revitalized, when you feel drained. You can take a water bath in the obvious way, by getting into the tub, but avoid a bubble bath and try using sea salts instead. Bring a cup into the tub with you to scoop up the water and pour it slowly down your shoulders and arms. Imagine that you are cleansing on a different level and that your energy is being restored. You will start to feel revitalized and energized without feeling hyper and panicky. A shower is also another way to reap the benefits of water. When taking a water bath, keep in mind that cool water clears energy while hot water sets it, so it is a good idea to use lukewarm water when you are trying to clear or move your energy. The Elemental Bath, Part 1

When we think of baths, usually a long hot soak in a soapy tub comes to mind. While these baths can be relaxing and soothing to the soul, there are other types of baths that can do more than just clean and relax our physical bodies, but can actually cleanse our energetic bodies. When I use the term cleanse, I am not implying that anyone’s energy is dirty, but rather, that energy can become cloudy. To cleanse or balance energy is simply to move energy that is stuck or displaced. Continue reading The Elemental Bath, Part 1

Time To Remember

Based on a lecture by Elie Wiesel, Titled: “Confronting Fanatisism: Building Moral Unity in a Diverse Society”

He remembers what his mind has tried to forget or the emotions have silenced. Elie Wiesel, a Nobel Peace Prize Winner and holocaust survivor, spoke at St. Norbert College in September with his message of peace and hope-don’t be indifferent to injustice and don’t wait to act when tragedy occurs.
